Fisherman’s Cove Beach, California

“Fisherman’s,” as locals refer to it, is the North Laguna equivalent of Table Rock Beach, a local favourite with many of hidden gems. The beach is located between Diver’s Cove and Shaw’s Cove, divided by rocky outcroppings on both sides. The southern access point passes houses, and residents keep their SUPs (Stand-Up Paddling) and kayaks tied up on the cliffs, despite the fact that it isn’t private.

The beach is small (and gets even smaller at high tide), but it has one of the city’s most pirate-y caverns and some very amazing sandstone cliffs. Closer in, the waves break gently, becoming heavier as they get further out. This area attracts a lot of body boarders when the swell is right.

This beach is guaranteed to be a popular if you’re looking for a little seclusion and laid-back vibes. Simply attempt to position your belongings high enough on the beach so that you won’t have to shift them once the tide begins to come in.
